Threshold Journey
A short, intentional process for something that needs time to unfold
Some things do not need long-term therapy, but they do need more than one conversation.
The Threshold Journey is a focused three-session process for times when you know something significant is shifting and you want to stay with it long enough to understand what is happening, experience what sits underneath it, and allow the work to settle into your life.
You may be moving through a transition, questioning an old identity or relationship, feeling caught in a pattern that keeps repeating, or sensing that something in your life is beginning to change before you can fully see where it is leading.
Unlike the standalone Threshold Session, which offers one spacious encounter around what feels most alive in the moment, the Journey gives the work continuity. What emerges in one session has time to live with you before we meet again. That space between sessions becomes part of the process.

A contained journey rather than open-ended therapy
The Threshold Journey is deliberately short-term.
It is not designed around the assumption that meaningful inner work must continue indefinitely. Instead, it creates a defined period of exploration with a beginning, a middle and a point of integration.
The three sessions are usually held over four to six weeks, giving enough space between meetings for you to notice what changes when you return to everyday life.
Something may land differently after our first conversation. A dream, image, feeling or memory may surface. A decision may begin to feel clearer. You may notice yourself responding differently to a familiar situation, or realise that the question you first brought is not actually the deeper question at all.
Rather than trying to resolve everything in one sitting, we allow the work to develop.
Reveal. Encounter. Integrate.
Although every Threshold Journey is different, the work is held within three broad movements: Reveal, Encounter and Integrate.
Session One — Reveal
Our first session begins with what has brought you here.
We explore what feels stuck, uncertain, repetitive or unfinished, alongside anything you already understand about the situation. Sometimes the presenting issue is exactly where the work needs to begin. At other times, something deeper gradually reveals itself through the conversation.
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly formed goal or a clear explanation of what is wrong. Part of the work may be discovering what the real question is.
This first session gives us a sense of the landscape we are entering together and what may be asking for closer attention.
Session Two — Encounter
By the time we meet again, there has been space for the first session to settle. Something may have shifted, become clearer or appeared unexpectedly. Sometimes the original question has changed completely.
The second session gives us room to work more directly with whatever is emerging.
Depending on what feels appropriate, this may involve therapeutic exploration, guided inner journeying, meditation, Soul Plan cards, imagery, intuitive work, energetic exploration or symbolic material that arises naturally within the session.
The aim is not to use techniques for the sake of using them. The method is always secondary to the person and the process. We follow what feels relevant, grounded and meaningful rather than deciding in advance exactly how the session should unfold.
Session Three — Integrate
Our final session creates space to notice what has changed across the journey and what still feels unfinished.
We may explore what you understand differently now, what has shifted in your relationship with the original issue, or what has begun to move in your choices, relationships, emotional life or sense of self.
Integration does not always mean reaching a neat conclusion. Sometimes it means recognising a truth more clearly, understanding what needs more time, or becoming aware of the next step without needing to force it.
This session is about helping you bring the work back into your everyday life in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.
Why the space between sessions matters
The Threshold Journey is not simply three separate appointments grouped together.
The time between sessions is part of what makes it a journey.
Inner work often continues after we stop talking about it. Something may become more visible when you return to your relationships, responsibilities and ordinary routines. You may notice where an old pattern still appears, where something has softened, or where a new question has begun to form.
Those observations give us something real to return to.
The Journey allows us to work with what happens both inside the sessions and outside them.
That continuity is what makes it different from a standalone Threshold Session.
You don’t have to choose the method
My background includes integrative psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and spiritual counselling, alongside intuitive and energetic approaches to inner work.
You do not need to decide in advance which of these you need.
One of the reasons I created the Threshold Journey is because I do not believe people should have to diagnose the right modality before they can begin. You bring what is happening in your life, and I draw from the approaches that feel appropriate to the work we are doing together.
Some sessions may be primarily conversational and reflective. Others may move into imagery, meditation, Soul Plan cards, guided journeying or energetic work. The process is responsive rather than formulaic.
This journey may be for you if…
You are moving through a significant transition, feeling caught in a familiar pattern, questioning a part of your life that no longer fits, or sensing that something deeper is beginning to change.
It can also be a good fit if you already have a high degree of self-awareness but feel that insight alone has not created the movement you are looking for.
You may have experienced therapy, personal development or spiritual work before and feel that there is another layer you would now like to explore. You may be psychologically reflective, spiritually open, or simply curious about working in a way that allows both rational understanding and intuitive experience to have a place.
The Journey is particularly suited to people who want meaningful depth without committing to months or years of ongoing sessions.
A psychologically grounded, spiritually open journey
For some people, the three sessions will feel complete in themselves. You may want to step away and allow what has emerged to integrate into your life.
You may return at another point when a new threshold appears, or you may decide that a different kind of support would be more useful for what is emerging next.
There is no expectation that you continue working with me simply because the three sessions are complete.
If you have previously booked a standalone Threshold Session and later feel that something new is asking for a more sustained period of exploration, you are also welcome to begin a Threshold Journey at that point.
The practical details
The Threshold Journey includes three 60-minute one-to-one sessions, held online and usually completed over four to six weeks. Investment is £249.
Sessions are spaced to allow time for reflection and integration between meetings. You do not need to prepare anything elaborate before we begin, and you do not need to know exactly what outcome you are looking for.
You only need a sense that something is asking for your attention and a willingness to explore it with curiosity.
You don’t always need to push forward
Sometimes we do not need a long process. We simply need enough space to stay with what is changing, listen carefully to what it is showing us, and allow the next step to become clearer in its own time.
