Psychologically grounded, spiritually open work for life’s inner thresholds
When something in your life no longer feels quite right
There are times when we know something needs to change, even when we cannot yet explain what that change is.
You may understand your patterns very well. You may have spent time reflecting, talking, journalling, working on yourself or trying to make sense of why you feel the way you do. And yet there can still be a sense that something has not quite moved.
Perhaps an old way of living no longer fits. Perhaps you are at a crossroads, moving through a transition, repeating a pattern you thought you had already understood, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself in a way that is difficult to name.
My work offers space for those moments.
I work with people who are psychologically reflective, spiritually open and willing to explore beneath the surface. You do not need to arrive knowing which method you need. You only need to know that something in you is asking to be listened to.
Work with me
There are different ways to enter this work depending on how much space you feel you need.
The work is different in each setting, but the intention remains the same: to create enough space for you to meet what is happening beneath the surface with curiosity, honesty and compassion.

The Threshold Session
A single 90-minute space for something that is asking for your attention
The Threshold Session is for those times when you feel stuck, uncertain, called toward change or aware that there is something you need to look at more deeply.
We begin with what is most alive for you, using Soul Plan cards to help uncover the deeper thread before drawing on therapeutic, intuitive and experiential approaches according to what emerges.
The session is designed to stand on its own, with no expectation of ongoing work.
90 minutes | Online | £99 introductory price

The Threshold Journey
Three sessions for something that needs a little more time
Sometimes one session creates the movement we need. At other times, something begins to open that deserves more space to unfold.
The Threshold Journey offers three 60-minute sessions across four to six weeks. The sessions broadly move through three stages: revealing what is asking for attention, encountering what sits beneath the surface, and allowing time for what emerges to integrate into your everyday life.
There is enough continuity for the work to deepen, while remaining a short and contained process.

The Stillpoint Within
An intimate silent retreat
There are moments when we do not need more information, more conversation or another thing to work on. We need space.
The Stillpoint Within offers silence alongside guided meditation, breathwork, walking, creative exploration and time simply to be, held within a small and carefully supported group.
It is an invitation to step away from the usual stream of input and responsibility long enough to notice what becomes audible when there is less competing for your attention.
A different kind of inner work
My background is as an integrative psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and spiritual counsellor, but the work I hold does not fit neatly inside one modality.
Over time, I have become increasingly interested in what happens when psychological understanding is allowed to sit alongside intuition, symbolism, spiritual experience and the deeper parts of ourselves that are not always reached through conversation alone.
For some people, this work is primarily reflective and therapeutic. For others, imagery, intuitive insight, energetic experience, archetypes, angels, dragons or other symbolic and spiritual material may naturally become part of what unfolds.
There is no requirement to believe in any particular spiritual framework. I will not impose meaning onto your experience, but I also will not ask you to dismiss something important simply because it does not fit into a purely rational explanation.
My intention is to offer a grounded, non-judgemental space where both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of experience are welcome.
You may find your way here when...
You have already done a great deal of thinking and reflecting, but something still feels unresolved.
You know why a pattern exists but do not yet feel free of it.
You are moving through a transition and cannot quite see what is on the other side.
You are questioning an old identity, relationship, belief or direction in life.
You have begun to sense something deeper spiritually and want somewhere grounded in which to explore it.
You feel disconnected from yourself, even though your life may appear perfectly functional from the outside.
Or perhaps there is no dramatic crisis at all. There is simply a quiet sense that something has changed, and you do not want to keep ignoring it.
You do not need to have the right words before you arrive. Part of the work may be discovering what the real question is.
About Vanessa
I’m Vanessa Vile, an integrative psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and spiritual counsellor.
The words people most often use to describe the way I work are nurturing, intuitive, connected, non-judgemental and quietly strong.
I value depth, but I do not believe depth requires endless processing. Some of the most meaningful work can happen in a single encounter, followed by enough space for a person to reflect and notice what begins to change.
My role is not to tell you what your life should look like. It is to create a space in which you can listen more closely to what is already emerging within you, explore what may be difficult to see alone, and find your own relationship with whatever comes next.
Looking specifically for psychotherapy?
I continue to offer integrative psychotherapy, counselling and hypnotherapy for those who are specifically looking for therapeutic support.
This work is available online and in person and can be explored separately from my Threshold work.
You do not need to know exactly what you need before you begin
If you recognise yourself somewhere in this page but are unsure which way of working would be most appropriate, you are welcome to get in touch.
Sometimes the starting point is not having an answer. It is simply recognising that something is asking for your attention and deciding to give it some space.
