How Hypnotherapy Works
Hypnotherapy uses a naturally occurring state of focused attention and relaxation to support psychological and behavioural change. In this state, the mind becomes more receptive to calming suggestions, new perspectives, and adaptive coping strategies.
During hypnotherapy:
The nervous system shifts into a more regulated state
Attention narrows, reducing external distractions
The mind becomes more responsive to therapeutic guidance
Stress levels typically decrease, supporting clearer thinking
New patterns of thought or behaviour can be rehearsed safely
Hypnotherapy is not mind control, and you remain aware and in charge throughout.
It is used here as a structured, evidence‑informed tool to support emotional regulation, symptom management, and lifestyle changes where appropriate.
